Baker Scaffold Rental
Narrow frame scaffolds, also known as Baker / Perry style scaffolds, are among the most popular pieces of construction equipment. Due to their versatility many contractors use them instead of ladders because they allow workers to maintain their balance and work more easily from the platform.
A baker scaffold has wheels and is often used as a mobile scaffold where limited space necessitates a narrow scaffold frame. Designed to be easily moved and assembled, they are used for operations such as wiring, lighting installation, painting, drywall installation, plastering, and other jobs where frequently position changes are required. Baker scaffolds can be adapted to stairs, ramps, and most uneven surfaces. What you need to know before calling!
Before calling, you need to gather some information for us to be able to help design a scaffolding solution for you project. If you are looking to rent scaffolding, we need a certificate of insurance (COI) to rent scaffolding from us. Most insurance companies are able to provide this in a few minutes. Please contact us for details.
- What is the working height for your job? For example, if you need to reach 18′ you can subtract 6′ for your body height/reach which will equate to a scaffold of 12' high. Please measure this, do not make assumptions.
- What obstacles to you need to overcome? Are there pews, stairs or landscaping in the way?
- Are there power lines we need to be aware of?
- How many linear feet of scaffolding do you need? For instance, if your project runs 20′ long, you will need at least 20 linear feet of scaffolding.
- How wide is the area? Will a 5' wide scaffold frame fit in the working area, or do you need something narrower?
- Do you want wood plank or aluminum platforms and how many levels need decking? We can provide 10′ OSHA wood plank or aluminum platforms from 5' to 8" long.
- Will your crew be erecting the scaffold, or do you need our professional scaffold erection crew to install it for you?
- Will the scaffolding be used indoors or outdoors?
- Do you need wheels so you can move the scaffold, or will it be stationary?
- Do you need Access Ladders or a Stairway to climb the scaffold?
